Use this chart to match tire size to a 24×8.25 wheel. Heights and widths are nominal industry values and can vary by brand and measuring rim. Always confirm the tire manufacturer’s approved rim-width range, load index, and inflation before purchase. Vehicle clearance — leveling kit, lift, fenders, and dual spacing — is separate from wheel-width compatibility.
Big Rig Adapters: Required on all 24-inch applications with one exception — FORD. These push the wheel offset outward 1.25 inches to clear the leaf springs end the bed. Ford trucks can run a direct fitment on 24s and 26s with a 12.50-wide tire only.
In-Between Spacers: Required when running 13.50-wide tires. ADF provides these spacers.
All Other Vehicles: Adapters are required on every other vehicle, whether running a 12.50 or 13.50-wide tire.
Load Rating at a Glance
On light-truck (LT) and flotation tires that fit this wheel, Load Range E is the standard heavy-duty rating on metric sizes (typically 80 PSI). Load Range F appears on some 12.50-inch and 13.50-inch sizes. Dual numbers (example: 121/118) list single load first and dual-rear load second. P-metric and Standard Load versions of the same size carry far less weight and are not recommended for Super Duty, towing, or payload work.

Fitment Notes for 24 × 8.25
- Best width window: 265–295 mm (about 10.4"–11.6").
- Acceptable with extra bulge: 305 mm, 315 mm, and 12.50" / 13.50" flotation.
- Height: 33"–34" is typically stock or mild level. 35"+ usually needs a lift and a clearance check. 38" requires a lift.
- Load: Specify LT construction and Load Range E (or F where available) for towing, payload, and dual-rear applications. Do not substitute P-metric / SL tires of the same size.
- Brand variation: Rim minimum/maximum, actual section width, and exact load can differ by model. Check the sidewall and the manufacturer spec sheet for the exact tire installed.
